One of what feels like one hundred shoes in competition for the “Best Retro of 2015″ title, the Air Jordan 6 Maroon is set to be revived in a matter of weeks. Months tops.
The OG colorway returns impressively faithful to that original 1991 edition, featuring a crisp white leather upper, sharply contrasted by dark red on the midsole, accents and tongue. Even more impressively though — and more authentically vintage, for that matter — the shoe boasts “NIKE AIR” embroidered on either heel, the first time that classic script has been used on the VI in 15 years.
The Air Jordan 6 Maroon is expected to drop this fall, though the exact date is still up in the air. This may well be the best retro of the year. . . . Top thousand, anyway.
